Now is the time to discuss, debate, and decide what it is we need from our Democratic Party. Anyone can join the #FutureOfDems Twitter discussion, but this forum has been created so that Democratic voters can be part of the public discussion often dominated by political professionals and journalists.

The #FutureOfDems project started in July 2017. Writer & activist Stacy Parker Le Melle extensively surveyed 46 voters from 16 states, resulting in a 4-part series posted on Medium. Topics included: Future of the Democratic Party, Lessons from 2016, the #Resistance, & Advice for the DNC Chairs (2018). #FutureOfDems participants will take part in the Twitter discussion.

How to participate:

On Monday, between 1–3pm EST, search for the hashtag #FutureOfDems. You will find questions and voter quotes. Respond to these questions and quotes. Pose your own questions. Share your own information and opinions. Always include the #FutureOfDems hashtag in your tweets, allowing others to find and respond (and RT) your tweets. RT tweets liberally to allow others to find and join the conversation. You can do any of this after Monday 3pm EST as well — but 1–3pm is when we’ll all be participating live.

Spread the word & see you then!
